As temperatures begin to drop, Women United, an affinity group of the United Way of Lewis County, is calling on the Lewis County community to come together once again to help ensure local children stay warm and cozy this winter.
Now in its sixth year, the annual Cozy Kids Coat Drive brings together local businesses, organizations and generous community members with one shared goal: making sure children throughout Lewis County have access to warm winter clothing, a news release from Women United announced.
Now through Nov. 13, community members are encouraged to donate new coats, hoodies and gloves for children of all ages, from preschool through high school. Both girls’ and boys’ sizes are needed, and monetary donations are also welcome.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, donations can be dropped off at any of the following 12 participating locations throughout Lewis County:
• Cardinal FG (Napavine)
• Cardinal TG (Chehalis)
• Centerville Cafe
• Centralia Beauty College
• Chehalis Outfitters
• Columbia Bank
• The Creamery LC Coffee Co.
• Jeremy’s Farm to Table
• Mint City Coffee Roasting
• Napavine Chiropractic
• The Station LC Coffee Co.
• United Way of Lewis County
All donations will directly benefit children within Lewis County. Stop by any drop-off location or visit the United Way office in downtown Chehalis to make a monetary contribution to the coat drive.
Donations can also be made online by visiting https://tinyurl.com/msph8dfe.
Women United invites individuals, families, businesses and community groups to join the effort and help make this year’s Cozy Kids Coat Drive a success.
