The Tumwater girls soccer team capped off a perfect 2A EvCo run with another dominant win, blanking Rochester 9-0.

The Thunderbirds finished the season with a perfect 12-0 record in league play, and didn’t surrender a single goal to 2A EvCo opponents, outscoring them 78-0. Tumwater has let in two goals all season long, the last of which came in a 1-1 draw against 4A Union on Sept. 8.

Cierra Larson got the scoring started early for Tumwater, putting the hosts ahead in the fourth minute. Emalyn Shaffer doubled the advantage in the 15th minute, before Olivia Kee bagged a five-minute brace with goals in the 23rd and 28th.

Eden Vuong made it 5-0 going into halftime. Coming out of it, Lucy Bergford got on the scoresheet in the 48th minute, Kameryn Norton scored in the 64th, Selley Beyene scored in the 68th, and Mia Cuoio wrapped it all up with a goal in the 78th.

Taking the 2A EvCo’s top seed into the district tournament, Tumwater will host Hockinson, the 2A GSHL’s fourth seed, on Saturday.
