The Tenino volleyball team needed a bit to get going but figured things out in a four-set win over Northwest Christian (Lacey) on Wednesday, 17-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.
“We started off really slow and quiet tonight, but they came together and pulled it out,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said.
Brooke Bratton posted nine kills and also logged 19 digs, an ace, and a block. Briana Asay led the Beavers (2-2) with 21 digs, and also had four blocks at the net. Kyler Petrich had five kills and seven digs, while Jayleen Woodward added nine digs.
Tenino will go west for a volleyball version of the Scatter Creek Showdown next Monday at Rochester.
