The Tumwater softball team won its third straight game on Tuesday, topping Shelton 14-2 in five innings.

The T-Birds scored six in the first and eight in the third, providing more than enough run support for Sarah Stevens in the circle.

Stevens put together her best start of the season, pitching all five innings and only allowing three hits and two unearned runs while striking out five.

Four different Thunderbirds (5-1, 2-0 2A EvCo) drove in multiple runs, including Elizabeth McCartney, who went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs, and Avery Schock, who drove in three.

Megan Paull also went 2 for 2 and drove in a pair, and Avery Sugg went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

The Thunderbirds will look to push their win streak to four and stay unbeaten in league play on Wednesday, when they’ll host Rochester.
