Four burglary suspects are still at large after they drove a stolen car into a west Olympia pot shop and then fled from the scene in two SUVs, according to police.

About 3:20 a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to Green Lady in the 2400 block of Harrison Avenue Northwest after a report of a car being driven into the business.

A witness reported seeing four suspects emerge from the business, carrying what was believed to be store merchandise, Olympia police Lt. Paul Lower said.

By the time police arrived, the stolen vehicle had been backed out of the business and the SUVs headed in opposite directions: one eastbound, the other westbound, he said.

Police were able to follow the eastbound SUV through downtown, but the driver eventually got onto northbound Interstate 5 and began driving fast and erratically, Lower said. The pursuit ultimately became unsafe and it was terminated around the Pierce County line, he said.

Police lost sight of the westbound SUV, Lower said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
