RAINIER — The Morton-White Pass boys and girls track teams each finished third overall here Saturday at the 17-team Rainier Icebreaker Invitational.
The Timberwolf boys’ sprint medley relay team took first. Jeff Fenbert finished second in the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches), and Daniel Park was second in the pole vault (10-0) and third in the long jump. Brad Fenbert finished third in the 400 meters and the 800.
On the girls side, Nicole Anderson won the 1600 (5:50.74) and the 3200 (12:32.70). The Timberwolf sprint medley team finished third, Shawna Mouser was second in the 200 and third in the long jump, and Jeanie Mullins won the triple jump (33-07) and finished fourth in the long jump.
From Rochester, Collin Hornby finished second in both hurdle races, setting a personal-best in the 300 hurldes at 42.97. Tim Rios took second in the 400, and sixth in the 200 with a personal-record 24.34. Lupe Vasquez finished second in the 400 (64.90) and fourth in the 200 for the Rochester girls, while Karlee Pearson was third in the 200 and Brynna Bronson third in the javelin.
Mossyrock’s Carl Smith was fourth in the triple jump, while teammate Rudy Kaech was fifth in the long jump. Sammi Snodgrass led the Viking girls with a fourth-place finish in the shot put and a fifth-place finish in the discus.
Onalaska’s Stephen Bottoms took second in the 3200 at 10:33.19, with teammate Sal Hewitt finishing third in the 110 hurdles. Josh Dibble was ninth in the 200 and fourth in the long jump while, on the girls’ side, Kylea Johnson was sixth in the 100, and Jessica Simons sixth in the 400.
Toledo-Winlock’s Brycen Holmes finished second in the long jump (18-07.75), and Emma Luhn won the 400 on the girls’ side in 1:02.53.
Tenino’s Darrin Love was a winner in the 200 (23.43), and finished fifth in the 100 and high jump. Nike McClure, meanwhile, won the 800 in 2:33.48, finished third in the high jump and took sixth in the javelin, as well as running a leg of the 4x400 finals for the third-place Beavers.
Kevin Kim, from Napavine, finished fourth in the pole vault (8-06), and Krystal Navarette took fifth in the 3200 for the Tiger girls.
