Tree planting work party set for Nov. 20 along Chehalis River

The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust and the Lewis County Stream Team will host a tree planting work party at the Chehalis River Discovery Trail near Centralia, on Monday, Nov. 20. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon. 

Snacks and drinking water will be provided, though attendees are asked to bring their own bottles. 

The Chehalis River Discovery Trail is at 1545 Goodrich Road, Centralia. Attendees are asked to follow the signs for the volunteer event and continue through the gate to the parking area near the red barn.



“Dress for the weather,” organizers stated in the release. “Boots, sturdy gloves, and suitable work clothes are recommended. We will have garden tools and some gloves available at the site.”

Volunteers can pre-register for this event by emailing an RSVP to office@chehalislandtrust.org. Volunteers are asked to include the number of people expected in their groups.
