In its winter grant report, the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust listed Fire Mountain Arts Council, the nonprofit that runs Roxy Theater in Morton, as the beneficiary of a grant for theater renovations.
Roxy Theater, located on Main Avenue in Morton, will receive $275,000 from the grant. The trust stated its motivation for the award was “to provide arts programming in rural Washington.”
The trust’s grants total $9 million for 39 nonprofits across Washington and over $30 million to organizations across the Pacific Northwest.
