Officials say a confidential informant helped deputies arrest two people on suspicion of drug possession in the unincorporated Ostrander neighborhood in Cowlitz County.
An elderly person, "living in severe neglect," was also found in the home where the arrest took place, the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday.
Travis Kenneth Lindsey, 35, of Kelso, and Rashelle Ann Curry, 40, of Longview, were arrested Tuesday after deputies executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Ostrander Road following an investigation, according to the notice.
Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Patricia Fassett set Lindsey's bail Wednesday at $15,000 and appointed a public defender to represent him, court records show.
His next hearing is scheduled for Monday.
As of Thursday afternoon, Lindsey was still listed as a jail inmate, but Curry was released Wednesday, county jail records show.
Curry was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Curry was also arrested on suspicion of having a dangerous weapon; a pair of metal knuckles.
Lindsey was arrested on suspicion of three counts of violating the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Detectives received information from an informant in January that Lindsey was dealing drugs, according to the report that led to Lindsey's arrest. He is under Department of Corrections supervision and is prohibited from possessing firearms because of a felony conviction.
The same informant told authorities Lindsey was seen selling drugs, and the informant also bought drugs from him, the report states.
With the use of that informant, authorities made three drug buys in January and February; all fentanyl and from Lindsey's home, which is less than 350 feet from a school zone, the document states.
Each drug deal was recorded, and the informant also provided written statements and screenshots of the pair's communication before the transactions.
Tuesday's search of Lindsey's residence allegedly found illegal drugs, packaging materials, three digital scales with suspected drug residue on them, a revolver, and $1,445 in cash.
The elderly person owned the home, the sheriff's office reports, and was transported to the hospital. That man is not a suspect.
