Two burglary suspects drive car into Thurston County gun shop, police say

Two burglary suspects drove a stolen car into a gun shop on Pacific Avenue early Saturday morning, according to Lacey police.

But nothing was taken, either because police arrived shortly after the incident or because of the extra security measures taken by the store owner, Police Operations Sgt. Shannon Barnes said Tuesday.

Police were notified by an alarm company at 3:34 a.m. and arrived two minutes later to find the car from Lakewood inside the business in the 5800 block of Pacific Avenue Southeast.

The car had not been reported stolen because the owner of the vehicle did not know it had been taken, Barnes said.

Two suspects emerged from the car, both wearing hoodies and masks, and then left in a separate vehicle, she said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Lacey police at 360-459-4333.
