United Way of Lewis County will host its third annual Educator Appreciation Night at The Juice Box in Centralia Friday, March 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Two hundred educators have registered to attend, according to Chris Judd, resource development director at United Way of Lewis County.
Judd said the educators come from school districts across Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis, Rochester, Adna, Pe Ell, Napavine, Onalaska, Toledo, Mossyrock and Winlock.
“Teachers get two free drinks, dinner, and an opportunity to win items like a stay at Great Wolf Lodge, Mariners tickets, gift cards and more,” Judd said.
Registration is currently closed, as the event has hit its capacity.
The event is limited to educator staff that work at K-12 schools in Lewis County.
Sponsors for the event include: Gesa Credit Union; Olympia Federal Savings; Peak Credit Union; Julia Gaul, financial advisor with Edward Jones; and Paula Burrows.
“This event was born out of the realization that so many of our educational initiatives like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Reading Buddies would fail if we didn’t have passionate teachers who pour into our kids every day,” Judd said. “We want to appreciate and inspire our teachers to finish the year strong.”
