The office of Third Congressional District Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Washougal, will host an upcoming mobile office hours event in Tenino as part of a series of events to assist constituents with federal agencies, including Veterans Affairs (VA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the U.S. State Department.

The office hours are scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tenino City Hall, located at 149 Hodgden Street South.

“My bipartisan team is working each day to directly assist folks across Southwest Washington with federal agencies — whether it’s recovering Social Security checks, tax refunds, or veterans benefits you’re owed,” Gluesenkamp Perez said in a statement. “Providing mobile office hours in local communities across the District is part of my mission to make our services more accessible, especially for rural communities and those who may have trouble finding the time to seek out our resources.”

According to Gluesenkamp Perez, her office has recovered more than $1.8 million from government agencies for 1,320 constituents, which includes more than $182,000 from the VA and $829,000 from the IRS. Those unable to make the mobile office hours are invited to call at 360-695-6292, visit gluesenkampperez.house.gov/contact or stop by in person at the Gluesenkamp Perez’s offices in Vancouver or Kelso.
