The U.S. Postal Service is looking for candidates to provide delivery services along designated routes in suburban and rural areas on weekdays, weekends and holidays to families within the Chehalis area, the postal service announced in a news release.
“USPS has some fantastic career potential positions available. A visit to this hiring event will have friendly staff on hand to help interested patrons navigate the hiring process, as well as being provided a wealth of information on USPS opportunities” said Janella Herron, USPS Communications Specialist.
According to the release, a rural carrier associate position is available, with starting salary being $21.89 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
The recruitment office is located at 225 NW Cascade Ave., Chehalis.

At the time of appointment, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• 18 years old at the time of appointment
• United States citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. territory
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and medical assessment
• Bring a driver’s license, education history with addresses, employment history for past seven years, and DD214 if applicants are veterans
