The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it is investigating an allegation that a Vancouver Schools employee “videotaped” girls in an Alki Middle School locker room.

School district staff notified the sheriff’s office of the “possible voyeurism incident,” and deputies contacted the employee suspected in the case. The employee refused to cooperate with the investigation, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

No arrests have been made at this time. The sheriff’s office said detectives are investigating, including searching the school locker rooms and the suspect’s home.

Vancouver Public Schools closed the Alki Middle School locker rooms when staff became aware of suspicious activity, the sheriff’s office said. The school district is cooperating with the investigation.

“Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation,” the sheriff’s office said, “we are not able to share any additional information at this time.”
