Vikings shut down Eagles in blowout win

The Mossyrock girls basketball team dominated from start to finish on Monday, topping Three Rivers Christian 66-5.

The Vikings (12-6, 8-0 1B Columbia Valley) stifled the Eagles’ offense, not allowing a single field goal the entire night. All five of the Eagles’ points came on free throws.

Mossyrock was also having its way on the offensive end, as they led 26-1 after one frame and 48-3 at halftime.

Chesney Schultz led the way with 12 points, and Adyson Barrows scored 10. Nine other Vikings got on the scoresheet, including Kendall Cournyer and Brooke Schwartz, who logged eight points each.

Schultz and Areonna France led the team on the boards with six rebounds each, while Cournyer and Abbie Lovan each grabbed five steals.

Maci Rashoff and Taylor Schwartz distributed the ball well off the bench, tallying three assists each.

The Vikings wrap up their regular season with two home games, first hosting Columbia Adventist on Tuesday before welcoming Willapa Valley on Thursday.
