Vintage Vault 33 to celebrated opening in downtown Centralia

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Vintage Vault 33 at noon Friday, Aug. 11, in downtown Centralia.

The new business is located at 327 N. Tower Ave. The community is invited to attend the ceremony.

According to a news release from the chamber, Vintage Vault 33 owners Carrie Cusano and Manuel Ontiveros moved to the Twin Cities a year and a half ago from San Diego, California, to be closer to Cusano’s family, who have lived in Lewis County for two generations.

Ontiveros worked professionally as a chef prior to moving to the area but has been a “picker” — a collector of vintage items and antiques — for 25 years, according to the chamber.

Cusano’s background is in corporate marketing.

Vintage Vault 33 is the pair’s first business and one that combines their skills and passions.

“We began by renting two spaces at Centralia Square,” Cusano said.

According to the chamber, those efforts were so successful that they decided to open their own shop.

“Their store has an eclectic array of vintage items ranging from clothes to furniture to art and other collectibles,” according to the chamber.
