Led by top finishers Tristan Von Bargen on the boys side and Haley Huber for the girls, the Tenino cross country teams had solid finishes at the 1A Evergreen Cross Country Championships Thursday afternoon at Oaksridge Golf Course.
Von Bargen finished fifth for the boys to lead the Beavers in 18:39 as the lone Tenino runner in the top-10. Carter Mounts finished 13th in 19:47, and the pair helped the Beavers to a third-place finish as a team.
For the girls, Huber finished as runner-up in 23:09, and just behind her, Brynn Williams ran a 23:15 for third place.
Next up for the Beavers is the District Championships next Thursday.
