In partnership with the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association and Pheasants Forever, the Washington state Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will host a mentored pheasant hunt in Oakville on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The pheasant hunt will be held at the Davis Creek Wildlife Area, located at 2009 South Bank Road in Oakville, and hunters will meet at 9 a.m. to begin, according to a WDFW news release.

Registration is free but required as space on the hunt is limited to 14 participants. To register, visit https://bit.ly/3PVeyA1.

All participating hunters must have a Western Washington pheasant hunting license and will be required to use non-toxic shot while hunting. Lead shot will not be allowed.

Pheasants Forever and the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association will bring dogs to help hunters, and lunch will be provided by Pheasants Forever chapter 257, the release stated.
