Win bragging rights and more at Southwest Washington Fair contests

From hula hooping to pie eating, the Southwest Washington Fair has a variety of contests available for attendees to watch or participate in with some fun prizes awaiting the winners.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, a hula hoop contest will be held at the Community Stage at 12 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, Senior Contests will be held at the Community Stage at 12 p.m. Wednesday is Senior Day so any attendees 65 and older can enter the fairgrounds for half the price.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, the annual KELA/KMNT Diaper Derby will be held on the Community Stage at 12 p.m.



On Friday, Aug. 16, a pie eating contest will take place on the Community Stage at 3 p.m.

Saturday’s contests will feature watermelon eating at 12:30 p.m. on the Community Stage and a mullet contest on the Saloon Stage at 4 p.m.

All contests are free to enter for all attendees with fair admission.
