Country Financial agents Dan Bauersfeld and Jennifer Penfold recently announced the teachers of Winlock Elementary School as recipients of the Country Financial Helping Heroes Award and hosted an event to honor them along with the school’s staff at the end of the school year, according to a news release.
“The teachers and staff at Winlock are truly everyday heroes. They do so much for our kids and our community,” the release said. “It’s an honor for us to be able to recognize them through our Operation Helping Heroes program and do something to show our appreciation.”
Operation Helping Heroes was created in 2015 to support nonprofit events and programs for active duty service members, veterans and their families, and was later expanded to include first responders and teachers. Since 2020, Country Financial has donated more than $5 million through the program, according to the release.
