A Winlock man accused of throwing concrete and rocks at his father’s car, causing over $5,000 in damage, on Thursday is now facing one count of first-degree malicious mischief in Lewis County Superior Court.

The charge is a class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Miguel Ramirez Magdelano Scott, 31, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail just before 6:05 p.m. on June 6 after officers with the Winlock Police Department responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Front Street, according to court documents.

Two neighbors reported seeing Ramirez Magdelano Scott throwing concrete and rocks at his father’s car.

The car, “a newer-looking Jaguar XJL sedan with extensive damage,” was evaluated by officers at the scene. They determined the windshield, both front windows and the rear driver’s side window had been smashed and the front passenger door had been rented and scrapped. Officers also found chunks of concrete and brick inside and around the vehicle, including a large piece of concrete that had been thrown through the windshield.

Officers reportedly contacted Ramirez Magdelano Scott, who declined to speak to officers about the allegations, a short distance away from the damaged car.

He was charged in Lewis County Superior Court on Friday and had a preliminary hearing scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, June 7.
