A woman died early Monday after crashing her motorcycle into a fence near Brush Prairie in rural Clark County, sheriff’s officials said.

A witness to the crash called 911 around 2 a.m. and said the motorcycle left the roadway at the intersection of Northeast 159th Street and Northeast 92nd Avenue, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

It appears the motorcyclist missed a stop sign at the T-intersection and went into a fence on private property, sheriff’s officials said. Investigators believe speed and alcohol could be factors in the crash, they said.

The motorcyclist had died by the time first responders arrived, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities did not release the person’s name.
