The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will host its first quarterly Chamber Forum of 2026 on Thursday, March 12, highlighting the significant impact of sports tourism in Lewis County, according to a news release.
The program, Sports and Tourism, will take place at the NW Sports Hub, located at 701 Allen Ave. in Centralia. Businesses and community members are invited to attend, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Guests are asked to gather under the balcony at the facility’s front entrance.
Sports tourism plays a major role in the local economy, with tournaments and events bringing teams and families who fill hotels and patronize restaurants and shops throughout Centralia and Chehalis year-round, the release stated.
The forum will begin with a guided tour of the facility led by Dale Pullin, original investor in the project. Following the tour, attendees will gather in one of the Hub’s event rooms to learn about upcoming tournaments and events, the release stated, as well as opportunities for local businesses to increase visibility and engagement with visiting teams and spectators.
The original concept for the facility began in 2010 through a partnership between the Lewis County Public Facilities District, the City of Centralia and the Centralia School District. The project opened in 2014 and has since become a regional destination for youth and amateur athletics.
