Escalera leads Loggers past Spartans

The Onalaska girls soccer team made the trip to Forks on Monday, and the Loggers returned home with a convincing 7-0 win.

Yuliana Escalera scored a hat trick in the first 12 minutes of the game, and Randi Haight added a goal in the 27th minute to put Onalaska up 4-0 at halftime.

Kaiyah Sandridge added a pair early in the second half, and Haight scored her second in the 63rd minute.

Leighton Underhill tallied three assists in the win. In addition to her three goals, Escalera also got an assist, as did Payton Raves, Emma Hodge, and Maci Reed.

Kate Zandell was active defensively, intercepting 13 passes. Emily Hicks didn’t see much action in net, but she did save both shots she faced.

Onalaska (7-3-1, 4-0 C2BL) will return home on Wednesday, when Adna, which is 3-0-1 in league play, will come to town.
