In Loving Memory of Charles Koski: 1938-2023

Charles Henry Koski passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Napavine, Washington. He was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Toledo, Washington. 

He was the son of Elmer and Grace Koski, and sibling of Virgil, Alzen, Marlene and Patricia. Charlie was raised in Lewis County and graduated from Napavine High School in 1956. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force, serving six honorable years. 

Charlie then married Judith Rogers, whom he was with until her passing in 1994. Charlie thenshared a loving partnership with Donna Stidham, of Napavine, for the remainder of his life.

Among his careers he was an avid fisherman having a commercial boat with his brother Virgil in Neah Bay. Following his fishing career, he entered the logging industry andowned his own log trucking company until retiring in 1992.

Charlie is survived by Donna; sisters Patricia Hannum and Marlene Nelson; sons Mike (Shannon) Koski and Casey (Wendy) Stidham; daughters Deanna (Steve)Hamilton and Diane(Keith) Ivie; grandchildren Karly, Emily, Amanda, Beau, Logan, Brody and Tessa; and great- grandchild Noah, along with many nieces and nephews.

Charlie’s favorite things included fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and, later in life, creating fond memories with his grandchildren.

For the past year Charlie was residing at Brenda’s Elder Care. We’d like to thank them for their care and loving nature while he was there.

Charlie will be remembered and laid to rest on Monday, July 31 at 1 p.m. at Toledo Cemetery in Toledo, Washington. There will be a lunch gathering at the Trinity Rebekah Lodge in Napavine immediately following the service.
