Posted

Cynthia Kay Louise Duff, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Lacey, Washington. She was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Oakland, California, to the late Sheldon and Ruth (Cornelius) Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Williams; grandsons, Zachary and Mathew Bergin; and nephew, David Grant. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Denise Bergin and Deanna Morgan, both of Beavercreek, Ohio; son, Joshua Duff, of Lacey; “honorary” daughter, DoniLee (Russ) Norris, of Shelton, Washington; grandchildren, Patrick Bergin, Connor Bergin, Jonathan (Nicole) Gray, Christopher (Emily) Gray, Kayla (Garrett) Rayney, Nathaniel Lupo and Delayne Lupo; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Connor and Everly Gray and Baker Rayney; beloved siblings, sister, Lori (James) Grant, and brother, Jim (Michele) Williams; nieces, Stephanie (Sal) Grant-Barajas, April (Doug) Zimmerman and Kristina (David) Bowlin; nephews, Duane Williams and David Williams; many friends; and last but not least, her much loved cat, Sheba.

An avid reader and history buff, she also enjoyed doing crafts and watching movies from her enormous collection of DVDs. She enjoyed traveling, and until recent years, due to a decline in health, had also loved to fish, hike and camp, having gone on many “adventures” over the years.

She possessed a great, if not unique, sense of humor, and was very much a “free spirit.” If you were lucky enough to have met her, you were unlikely to forget her!

A longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, she had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and loved to read and study the Bible, of which she was very knowledgeable.

A truly caring and compassionate person who gave so much of herself to others, Kay will be greatly missed by her children, family and friends.

Services to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at Centralia Seventh Day Adventist Church.
