In loving memory of Danette Parish: 1942-2023

Posted

Danette Parish, known to most as Danny, passed away peacefully at her home near Adna on July 3, 2023.

She was born in Renton, Washington on March 22, 1942 to parents Clement and Josephine Lapsansky. She graduated from Renton High School in 1960 and went on to work as a draftsman for Boeing until the early 1980s.

That's when she and her husband Norman Parish followed their dreams and cruised to Mexico on their sailboat where they lived for 10 years. In 1990, they moved back to Washington, buying land near Adna where they built their home.

She resided there until her passing. She worked at the Corning Revere Outlet in Centralia then went on to work at Alderbrook Quarry near Adna until she retired. She enjoyed raising chickens and goats, gardening and going to garage sales in search of endless treasures to add to her garden and use in crafting handmade gifts for friends and family.

Danette is survived by her sister, Patricia Gladstone, of Camarillo, California; her daughter, Deborah Skilton Webster, of Renton, Washington; her son, Christopher Jones, of Chehalis, Washington; and granddaughter Alicia Skilton, of Lynnwood, Washington.

To honor Danette, there will be a small private ceremony at her home for friends and family.
