In loving memory of David Earl Steinbrenner: 1957-2024

David Earl Steinbrenner passed away of cancer on June 5, 2024, in Centralia, Washington, his home of 66 years. He was born Aug. 30, 1957, to Eugene and Erlyse Steinbrenner in Olympia, Washington.

David graduated from Centralia High School, attended Centralia College for diesel tech and welding training, and Bates Technical School for the apprenticeship millwright program. He worked for Weyerhaeuser as a mechanic, but most of his working career was as a millwright.  He was a member of the Millwrights Union, American Legion and NRA.

David was hardworking, loving, joking and always willing to help others. He loved hunting, fishing, being in the woods and working outdoors. He also loved being with his grandson.  

He is survived by his son, Kevin Steinbrenner, of Centralia; daughter, Lisa Johnson, of Centralia; grandson, Hunter Johnson; brothers, Peter Steinbrenner (wife, Kathy), of Henderson, Nevada, and Joe Steinbrenner (wife, Sue), of Ridgefield, Washington; and sister, Judy Phillips, of Centralia. He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, David Phillips.

A memorial service will be held July 6, 2024, 1 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1209 Scheuber Road N., Centralia.
