Howard was a man who greatly enjoyed life, cherished his friends and family, and admired the beauty of nature.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen P. Bodin; his parents, Palmer and Ruth Bodin; and his siblings, Ernie Bodin, Bob Bodin and Rosie Johnson.
Howard's memory will be carried on by his wife, Katherine Bodin; two children, John Bodin and Christine Kolhage; six grandchildren, Elisa, Michael, Taylor, Helen, Alex and Josh; nine great-grandchildren, Lotus, Laura, Madeline, Bentley, Michael, John, Wesley, Amelia and Meadow; and many other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 9, 2023, at the Grand Mound Cemetery. A reception will be held at the family’s home following the service.
