The time has come to announce the passing of an amazing man, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jack Gordan Williams was born on April 17, 1935, in Vader, Washington, and died at his residence in Centralia, Washington, on Feb. 11, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anita; his brother, Buzz; his two daughters, Colleen and Regan; his two stepsons, Ron and John; his four grandchildren, Rachel, Isaac, Samuli and Sophia; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Teagen, Nathaniel and Benjamin; and one niece and one nephew.
Jack was a dedicated Marine, joining the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1957 and serving in Korea and Okinawa. After working in the shoe business for many years, Jack would go on to work for and retire from L&E Bottling (Pepsi) at age 62.
Jack loved life and enjoyed many things throughout his 88 years. He loved sports, especially golf. He also loved football. For 35 years, Jack, an alumni of W.F. West High School, volunteered on the chain gang for every football game, always sporting his Bearcat gear. Jack was also an excellent carpenter, enjoyed traveling, fishing trips in Alaska, western movies and spending time with his family.
Jack loved his grandkids and cherished being a grandfather. Being "Papa" to his great-grandkids was one of his greatest joys in life. Jack had many friends and touched many lives over the years. He left this world a proud Marine, a beloved husband and an amazing grandfather and "Papa," and he will always be remembered for his dedication to his family and his service to his country.
