Jack was a dedicated Marine, joining the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1957 and serving in Korea and Okinawa. After working in the shoe business for many years, Jack would go on to work for and retire from L&E Bottling (Pepsi) at age 62.

Jack loved life and enjoyed many things throughout his 88 years. He loved sports, especially golf.  He also loved football. For 35 years, Jack, an alumni of W.F. Jack was also an excellent carpenter, enjoyed traveling, fishing trips in Alaska, western movies and spending time with his family.
