In loving memory of Janet L. Nyberg (Bay): 1941-2024

Janet Lee Nyberg (Bay) was born on March 12, 1941. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Feb. 18, 2024, surrounded by family. Janet had suffered from Alzheimer's for the last 11 years. She was 82 years old.

She is survived by her brother, Ole (Pam) Bay; daughter, Dina (Mark) Hoiseck; three sons, Brock (Shanna) Nyberg, Jeff (Bridget) Nyberg and Josh (Jodie) Nyberg; 11 grandchildren, Mia, Karina and Brooke Nyberg, Dylan and Payson Hoiseck, Chloe, Annalise and Braelyn Nyberg, and Raven, Sky and Sage Nyberg; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Eschen and Knox William Nyberg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Nyberg.

Jan was born to Eino and Olena Bay (Wagbo). Jan was a 1959 graduate of Winlock High School. She spent many years working in banking, first in Toledo at Central Evergreen, which then changed to Sterling Savings and moved to Winlock where she retired. Jan made many friends and acquaintances during her time at the bank. After retirement, she assisted her husband Bill running Go Taxi. Jan enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, traveling, shopping and rooting for her beloved Washington Huskies. She loved her hometowns of Winlock and Toledo.

There will be a celebration of life for Janet, with details to be determined at a later date.
