Larry Duane Smith, born on July 14, 1940, in Centralia, Washington, peacefully passed away in his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on June 5, 2024, in Mossyrock, Washington. He was 83 years old.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Barbara Smith, and his sons, Ronald, Jeffery, Gregory and Daniel Smith. He was a proud grandfather to Sara Sutherland, Randi Smith, Hannah Bredeson, Cassidy Smith, Madison Smith, Ethan Smith and Oliver Smith, and a cherished great-grandfather to his four great-granddaughters.
Larry’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his tireless work ethic and his warm and generous spirit. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first. Larry will be remembered for his love of his community, his talent for woodworking and his unwavering kindness.
Larry's legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at noon July 13 at the Mossyrock Fire Hall.
