Lloyd Blankenship finished his journey in this life on June 24, 2023 at the age of 93 with his family by his side.
Lloyd was born in Packwood on May 28, 1930. He lived in Packwood and Randle his entire life. In his younger years, he worked in the logging industry. After being hurt in the woods he went to work for White Pass School District where he finished his career as maintenance supervisor. After retirement he worked on the family farm. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors. He always had a funny story or saying to share.
Lloyd married the love of his life, Jackie McCall in 1950. After Jackie passed away in 2010, Lloyd spent time with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his daughter Lloydene Weiks, son Wayne Blankenship and his wife Cheryl, daughter Paulette Eaton and her husband Jeff.
Lloyd has seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren as well as a large extended family.
At Lloyd's request, there will be no memorial service. He would always tell you to be careful and don't take any wooden nickels.
