Michael S. Byrd was born to Herman (Tom) and Vivian (Steve) Byrd on Dec. 15, 1942. He passed away on Nov. 17, 2023, at home with his wife and daughter by his side.
Michael was an avid hunter. He enjoyed his time out at Mount St. Helens. He joined the Army as a young man and then went on to become a supervisor at Boeing until he retired. He spent the next several years spending time with his family and working on cars. In 2001, he returned to Winlock where he and his wife spent the rest of his time helping others and watching grandkids grow.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah Byrd; his sons, Robert Byrd, Christopher (Jenny) Byrd, Jeffery (Valery) Byrd and Carl Armstrong; his daughter, Krystal (Chris) Carlson; and his sisters, Mary and Susan. He has 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren that he cherished.
There will be a celebration of life on Dec. 16, 2023, with light refreshments and the sharing of memories. The ceremony will be at 568 Cemetery Road, Winlock, Washington.
