In loving memory of Rosalind White: 1950-2023

Posted

Rosalind Carol White passed away peacefully from a long battle with cancer at her home in Chehalis, Washington, surrounded by family and friends on June 21, 2023. She was 72. She was a strong fighter until her last breath.

Rosalind was born on Dec. 1, 1950, in Grass Valley, California, to Charles W. Reed and Cletta Sutton. After her father died, her mother later married Al Roberts. They eventually settled in Boistfort, Washington. It was there where she met the love of her life, Gordon White, and they lived in the valley for many years until he passed away in March 2012. They spent 42 wonderful years together.

Rosalind was an avid reader and you could often see her with a book in her hand. Her favorite genres were horror and mystery. She also loved gardening. Every year, her gardens were a thing of beauty with beautiful flower beds and hanging plants everywhere. Most of all, Rosalind loved her family. She was always there to help anyone wherever and whenever they needed her. One of her favorite sayings was, "I love you to the moon and back forever and a day."

Rosalind leaves behind her children, Shelly (Kirk), Gregory and Jennifer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlie (Judy), Pamela and Robyn (Carl); as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, her close cousin, Joe, and her nephew, Dustin.

Rosalind's celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at the Baw Faw Grange. There will also be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share. All are welcome to attend.
