In Loving Memory of Stanley Taloff: 1924-2023

Posted

Stanley Taloff, a longtime resident of Winlock, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023, in Battle Ground, Washington. He was 99 years old. He had been visited by many friends and family before his passing. Stan was not only an inspirational head of the family, but he had spent his life volunteering in whatever community he resided in. Stan was well known in the Winlock area for his many years of involvement in the Food Bank, the Lion's Club and the Egg Day Celebration.

Stan retired as chief financial officer of the Charleston Naval Finance Office. He and his wife, June, moved to Winlock in 1975, bought their farm, and then began traveling around the world. They loved to cruise and cruised worldwide. Stan, and wife June (who preceded him in death in 2021), were well known for their yearly barbecues at the farm in which they invited all family members, old friends and many residents of the Winlock community.

Stan and June are survived by their children and spouses, Stanley Jr. (Katie), Steve (Debbie), and Lisa Moss (Ed).

Stan and his wife of 75 years, June, will be buried together in their plot at St. Urban Cemetery in Winlock, Washington. The date of the burial and gravesite celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
