Theodore James Stegeman passed away July 8, 2023, with family at his side.
Ted was born Dec. 17, 1931 in Yakima, Washington. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Freda (Shannon) Stegeman; his parents, Theodore and Camille Stegeman; and siblings, Sarah Stegeman, Henry Stegeman, Paul Stegeman, John Stegeman, Elizabeth Ann Stegeman and Bernadette Brungardt.
He is survived by his siblings, Mike (Pat) Stegeman, Henrietta (Rudy) Gasparac, Mary (Dick) Grable and Tom (Pat) Stegeman; his children, Dorothy Peterson, Brenda Stegeman, Dolores Stegeman, Donald Stegeman, Norma (Bob) Phillips and Anita Stegeman; his grandchildren, Jake Phillips, Wade (Megan) Phillips, Jerramiah (Natalie) Peterson and Elizabeth Peterson; and his great-grandchildren Quinn Phillips, Chase Phillips and Opal Peterson.
He graduated high school in 1949. He spent four years in the Air Force. In 1958, he married Freda Shannon and together they raised six children.
Ted is remembered for his work ethic, strong faith and sense of humor.

Services will be held Aug. 4, 2023, at St. Anthony Chapel at Holy Spirit Parish, 304 Third Ave. S., Kent, WA, 98032. Rosary is at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. with a reception immediately following.
