Pamela J. Dalmeny was called to the Lord after a fitough, hard fight with cancer. We are greatly saddened by the sudden death of our beloved Pamela.
She was born in Chehalis, Washington, on April 11, 1956, to Glen and Marian Rickards. They later moved to Ethel where she attended Onalaska High School. Later, she attended Centralia College. She worked in the Family Grocery Stores in Ethel, Morton and Toledo.
She later met and married her life partner, Tony. They had three children, Josh, Jennifer and Melissa, and through them they gave Pam nine grandchildren.
Pam joined the U.S. Postal Service where she spent 30 years of service before retiring as postmaster. Through her career, she made many friends. She was a very caring and giving soul. She loved baking and cooking, and during the holidays she would bake to make gift packages for family and friends.
She loved gardening, starting seeds in the greenhouse and then taking starts out to the veggie beds for all the family to enjoy all summer and later come canning season. Pam also loved her beach trips. She lived for the sights and sounds of the ocean. During her voyages, she loved to
shop at thrift stores looking for lost treasures and bargains. Pam was an avid reader and she enjoyed a good mystery book. Pam would start every morning listening to gospel music. She also loved her country and folk music. She would say “that’s good music right there.” When Pam would be talking with the kids, she would sign off with “I love you more.”
Pam was preceded in death by both her parents, Glen and Marian Rickards, and her sister, Judy Wright. She is survived by her husband, Tony; son, Joshua (Amy) Murphy; daughter, Jennifer (Zach) Dalmeny Bouley; daughter, Melissa (Colten) Keller; and many grandkids, aunts, cousins, in-laws, nephews, nieces and many, many friends. She will always be remembered as the “Wicked” Auntie. She will be missed more than words can express, forever in our hearts and memories.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Bethel Church.
Pam was a faithful blood donor. In her honor, give the gift of blood and donate today. She was also a tissue donor. Even after her passing she has given to others.
