John L. Reed, 73, favorably known as JR, passed away on Feb. 19, 2022. He was born in West Virginia and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at a young age, completing four tours of duty in Vietnam.
JR will be remembered for his charismatic personality and lightheartedness. He was there to make you smile and hear you laugh, a bright spot in the lives of many. He was a general contractor and a jack-of-all-trades. He always had the answer and was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a dreamer with big ideas and high hopes, and never stopped fighting. He was an automobile enthusiast who loved customizing and modifying cars. He loved family gatherings where he could spend time with family, share memories of his life experiences and teach trade skills.
He is survived by his children Anthony, Brandy, Michael and Cindy; his grandchildren Mikayla, Alex, Bryan, Leon, Kira and Remi; and many dear friends.
