People who overreacted to the Centralia Police Association’s (CPA) endorsement of Sean Swope for Lewis County commissioner are utterly ignorant of government association and union political endorsement activities.
The CPA did nothing wrong and owes no one any explanation for they’re stepping out and endorsing a candidate.
What’s different? It rarely happens in this area. The moment it did happen, all of the uninformed took to their keyboards and had a literal hissyfit.
Then came the harraunging of city hall, whining about the endorsement. There’s a whole lot of time those city employees won’t get back from fielding those “Karen” phone calls.
