Lewis County Public Health launches survey to guide future community services

Lewis County Public Health & Social Services has launched the 2025 Community Health Survey to gather public input on local health needs and priorities, according to a release from the county.

The survey, open through Sept. 30, will help guide future services and programs for residents.

The four-minute survey asks residents what could make Lewis County a healthier place to live and how community needs can be better addressed. Survey responses are anonymous. The goal of the survey is to better understand the needs and strengths in Lewis County and to use that data to guide projects over the next several years, the release stated.

The survey is part of the department’s Community Health Assessment process, which will continue through 2025. The process includes talking to community leaders, hosting community listening sessions and collecting responses to surveys to learn about health priorities and needs in Lewis County.

“We really want to know what matters most to people living in Lewis County — what’s working well and what could be better,” said Lewis County Public Health & Social Services Director Meja Handlen. “The information gained through this survey will be shared with agencies to help them better serve our community.”
