A Chehalis man accused of selling a Centralia man a deadly dose of heroin pleaded guilty to the crime in Lewis County Superior Court Thursday.

Robert T. Lusk, 37, pleaded guilty to controlled substance homicide and first-degree driving while license suspended.

According to court documents, Lusk admitted guilt for the crime in a statement saying that he knowingly delivered heroin to 23-year-old Tyson Anderson on April 22, 2013. Anderson used the heroin and died as a result.

According to court documents, police found Anderson dead in his apartment after shooting up the fatal dose of heroin. A woman, who was also allegedly using, had passed out and found Anderson unconscious when she woke up.

She called 911, and told officers they had been using heroin sold to them by a man named “Robert.”

Lusk’s sentencing is scheduled for April 1.

According to court documents, the prosecuting attorney will recommend Lusk be sentenced to 68 months plus a day imprisonment with credit for time served, 12 months of community custody and various fees associated with the case.

The standard sentencing range is 68 plus a day to 100 months and 12 months of community custody. The maximum sentencing is 10 years and a $20,000 fine.

Lusk was arraigned on the charges in June 2014. He was originally also charged with delivery of a controlled substance. It was dropped and the driving with a suspended license charge was added.

Lusk is in custody at the Lewis County Jail.
