Napavine shoots over 60% in wire-to-wire win over Winlock

The Napavine boys basketball team’s red-hot offense had a field day in an 89-30 trouncing of Winlock Tuesday night.

The Tigers shot 61.7% from the field, including 70% in the second half, to secure their seventh straight win to open the season. Cal Bullock, 19 points, and Beckett Landram, 17 points, outscored Winlock on their own, and Tyce Vigre contributed 16 and Hudson Chambers added 15. 

Napavine led by 10 after the first quarter, 29 at halftime, and 47 through three quarters. The Tigers converted on 50% (7 of 14) of their 3-point attempts, with Landram hitting three triples and Eric Bullock knocking down a pair.

Arean Thapa was the only scorer in double figures for Winlock with 11, and Freddy Patching added eight points. 

Up next for Napavine (7-0, 5-0) is a pair of blockbuster Central 2B League games, first at Toledo (5-0, 4-0 C2BL) Thursday night and then at home against Adna (8-2, 6-0 C2BL) Saturday afternoon.

Winlock (2-8,1-6 C2BL) will look to snap its five-game skid when it travels to Morton to face Morton-White Pass (0-9, 0-6 C2BL) Thursday night.
