Make it nine league wins in a row for the Adna boys basketball team, which defeated Winlock 66-44 on Tuesday to remain undefeated in league play and atop the C2BL standings.

The Pirates slowly built a nine-point lead throughout the first half, and they continued to slowly pull away and seal the game in the second.

After a quiet game against Napavine, Trevin Salme bounced back nicely. The sophomore hit five threes and went on to lead Adna with 29 points. Grayson Humphrey scored 13, Gavan Muller added 10, and Kannen Kephart tallied seven.

Landen Cline scored more than half of Winlock’s points by dropping 23, while Freddy Patching and Carter Svenson both added five.

Both teams will hit the road for league matchups on Thursday. Winlock (4-9, 3-7 C2BL) will make the trip to Toledo, while Adna (12-2, 9-0 C2BL) will head south to play Toutle Lake.
