Renewed Strength Psychiatry Services will celebrate the opening of its first office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.
The ceremony is scheduled for noon Thursday, April 30, at the Market Boulevard Professional Services building, 409 S. Market Blvd., Suite A. The ribbon cutting will take place in the lobby.
Owner Brandee Haskin holds a master’s degree in nursing and is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, a news release from the chamber stated. As she establishes her first private practice, she brings more than a decade of experience in the mental health field.
Haskin noted that her decision to pursue a psychiatric nurse practitioner degree was shaped by her work in the psychiatric crisis unit at Providence during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We saw a significant increase in patients experiencing severe depression, anxiety and trauma related to isolation,” she said.
She selected a centrally located office that is accessible by public transportation, wheelchair-friendly and located near local pharmacies. Haskin takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to care and provides medication management for a range of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and prenatal and postpartum depression, the release stated. She also offers ketamine treatments, when appropriate, and autism evaluations for individuals ages 6 to 19.
Her areas of specialization include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, sleep concerns and trauma-related conditions. Her primary focus is on adolescents through older adults.
Renewed Strength Psychiatry Services accepts Premera Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, First Choice Health and UnitedHealthcare. Other plans to be available soon include Medicare, Medicaid (Molina, Wellcare, Coordinated Care and Wellpoint), Regence and Tricare West.
