Tied at one after 40 minutes, the Toledo/Winlock United boys soccer team couldn’t keep the pressure up and allowed three second half goals to fall to La Center 4-1 at home in a Class 1A Trico League contest on Saturday.
After 25 minutes of scoreless soccer, Luis Hernandez found the back of the net for United (4-4, 3-4 Trico) in the 26th minute. La Center responded with the equalizing goal in the 30th minute, then took control with second half goals in the 44th, 60th and 70th minutes.
United will face one of the league’s unbeatens in the loss column – Seton Catholic – on Monday at home.
