Despite limiting one of the highest scoring teams in the Trico League to just one first half goal, the Toledo/Winlock United boys soccer team never found the back of the net in a 3-0 loss to the Knights on Wednesday evening.
It was a stark improvement for United (5-8, 5-7 Trico) compared to the first meeting, an 8-0 win by King’s Way. It was a scoreless match until the Knights struck in the 38th minute and carried that momentum to two goals in the 50th and 73rd minute, respectively.
United will look to snap its three-match skid on Friday at La Center.
