Five goals in the first half was a comfortable cushion for the Bruins to muster and pick up a 6-0 win over Toledo/Winlock United on Friday night in Vancouver in a Class 1A Evergreen League tilt.
Since starting the year 3-1, United has lost two straight by a total score of 14-0. It now drops to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the league. Despite not bringing in a single substitute for the majority of the second half, co-head coach Horst Malunat was pleased with the effort.
“The team worked very hard and are making small improvements,” he said. “Hopefully the break will get kids healthy.”
United will return to the field on April 10 against Kalama on the road.
