The bats were firing on all cylinders for the Mossyrock softball team, which defeated Winlock 18-1 in five at home on Saturday.
The Vikings scored five in the first and added six in the second, and they eventually put up another six spot in the fourth.
The Schwartz sisters had an outstanding day at the plate. Taylor Schwartz hit two home runs and drove in three runs, and Brooke Schwartz went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs of her own.
Erin Cournyer and Calliope Schultz collected three hits apiece, and Schultz drove in four runs.
Cali Geehan led the Cardinals with two hits, and she also drove in Winlock’s lone run in the top of the fourth.
Both teams will hit the road on Monday, when Mossyrock (2-3, 1-1 C2BL) will head to Rainier and Winlock (0-4, 0-1 C2BL) will visit Napavine. Both matchups are non-league games.
