Up by 11 points in the third set and trying to extend Tuesday’s non-league match, Rochester saw it evaporate and ended up on the losing end of a sweep against Eatonville 25-21, 25-18, 25-23 at home.

After the Cruisers won a back-and-forth first set and comfortably won set two, the Warriors jumped ahead by a sizable margin. Then head coach Courtney Baird stated they “kind of fell apart.”

“Not talking, having trouble finding a groove,” Baird added. “We struggled serving and my hitters struggled. Add those things together, you can’t do much.”

Lexi Dupont finished with five kills while Arissa LeBaron and Mckenna Vassar combined for 10 aces. Charlie Culp dished out seven assists and Hailey Boyd paced the back row with six digs.

Rochester will continue its homestand against Centralia.

“We do need to hurry up and find our rhythm,” Baird said. “By next week, I’m hoping we’ll figure it out.”
